Ski touring

Ski touring is the ability to climb on skis and sometimes on foot with crampons to reach your destination. With more than 30,000 acres of ski-able terrain, Chamonix valley and the Mont Blanc Massif have some of the best ski touring in the alps. The massif is a vast area of glaciated mountains, the lifts provide easy access to the wilderness of the mountains that makes this region so special.

They are many well know routes, one of the most popular being the world famous Vallee Blanche. Starting at the Aiguille du Midi it can be skied without touring skis and will be the first true experience of mountain wilderness for many people.

From Grand Motets, several touring routes commence. This is the beginning of the classic Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt in Switzerland.
